Applications
Vacuum disc filters are used for the recovery of fibers and fillers from white water in pulp processing, with a fiber recovery rate of 95%. Vacuum disc filters can also be used for pulp thickening during processing.

• Vacuum disc filter equipment utilizes a physical separation method of the fiber and the filtrate, so that the fiber retains its original physical characteristics.
• The fiber concentration separated by vacuum disc filter system reaches up to 12%, and the suspended solids (SS) level is as low as 50 PPM. The amount of water required per ton of paper, as well as the cost, have been significantly reduced.
• The footprint of one piece of filtration equipment is small, with low operation costs. A medium sized piece of equipment generally only requires about 50 square meters of space.

As the pulp flows through the vacuum disc filter equipment, the filtrate flows through the rotary disc filter mesh screen and sector, then leaves the thickened fiber mats on the filter screen. The fiber mats are then peeled from the filter screen using a water jet to enter the discharge chutes. A vacuum can be automatically formed in the sectors, which are covered with a sector bag.
